Here is an example of Total Power Added
Example #1 - 2010 6speed SS with a VR 398 rear wheel hp and 401 Torque simply add 4-5% to both = 417 rear wheel hp, 421 Torque (stock car pulled 382hp / 378 Ft.lbs.) for a solid 35 HP/43Ftlbs gain in total power for a "No Tune" system.
FAQ: (what if I didn't gain much on the Dyno?)
What if the car stock pulled 365hp& 365ft lbs to the wheels? You install the VR system and only see 10hp and 15 ftlbs on the dyno because the ECU was not allowed the time to dial in properly for whatever reason. That's ok now add the 5% Ram Effect for full power delivered.
365hp + 10 =375 + 5% = 393hp (a 28hp gain)
365Tq + 15 = 380 + 5%= 399ftlbs (a 34 ftlbs gain)
With no tuning, it makes no difference - you will still reach our performance guarantee no matter what,
while the other guys are still sucking HOT AIR!
You can see why we really don't care about the Dyno
as much as actual on the road/track performance.
What to expect on the road:
We designed the Camaro system to produce larger gains in Torque than Horsepower by using resonance tuning. The 2010 Camaro's weight (3,800+ lbs) meant maximum acceleration gains would be found by concentrating the power under the curve in the 4300-5500RPM range, giving up the last 300rpm. (Reference resonance tuning)
GM did a good job of making a cold air box from the factory regardless of what the rest of the aftermarket may tell you (Their box material is far better for heat resistance and they actually did give a good hole to breath cool air from)
So weather you gain 15-20 hp &20-25ftlbs of Torque or you already have another company's "COLD AIR/HOT AIR", you will still see a substantial gain in performance by switching to the VR.
We will top any Torque number by 8ftlbs even if we make the same peak hp. We will carry a broader, fatter curve by as much as 8-10hp under the curve (4000- 5500 RPM) - from resonance tuning and air horn design.
The system will also deliver another 15-19hp at speed from the ram effect from the drop in the air density inside the manifold, there will also be a small pressure rise as well, reducing pumping losses quickening windup.
The total power that this system is capable of required VR to
detune the system three time during its development by restricting
the system to a level far below its full potential.

Once you combine the dyno and ram effect gains on the road, the Torque is +45 ftlbs, Horsepower is +35hp over factory stock to the wheels! "Tune" models will gain about 10 more peak HP & Torque.
(Modified motor cars will gain more)
At the track you will see greater gains in E.T. than your trap speed indicates from the broad power curve.
ex. 1/4 mile - 4-5 tenths and + 3-3.5mph in trap speed! ("NO TUNE" MODEL)
That is what a broad Torque and power curve will do for you!
